Welcome to the POSIX Certification web site
POSIX® Certified by IEEE and The Open Group is for products meeting the IEEE
POSIX standards.
The following documents should be read and understood
prior to certification, since you will be required to agree
to them during that process:
-
The Certification
Policy (pdf)
defines the policies that govern the operation of the POSIX certification program. These policies define what can be certified, what it means to be certified, and the process for achieving and maintaining certification.
-
The Trademark License Agreement (TMLA) (pdf) is optional for certification,
but required for those wishing to use the POSIX trademark in
connection with products. It
covers the terms and conditions of use of the POSIX trademark.
-
The Certification Agreement covers the terms and conditions
of the Certification Service including the supplier warranty of conformance.
The significant highlights of the
certification process are outlined below, further
information can be found
in the Guide to the Certification Program.

as confidential as required by the Certification Agreement.
